NOTE: THE HANDICAPS CALCULATED ABOVE ARE FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. SIR GREASY AND THE CAPTAINS WILL DETERMINE THE ACTUAL HANDICAPS USED EACH YEAR. THE HANDICAPS LISTED UNDER "FINAL HDCP" COLUMN ARE THE HANDICAPS THAT WILL BE USED FOR EACH TOURNAMENT AND ARE NOT DETERMINED BY CALCULATIONS, RATHER THEY ARE AD LIB ENTRIES. (IN OTHER WORDS, DO NOT BLAME ME)
This is a list of scores from the past few years. The second column "STROKES" is the same as the final column "FINAL HDCP" (it makes the spreadsheet formulas easier). Please note that the "Jekyll HDCP" column represents the actual handicap based on the best six scores of the 12 total scores. It is calculated by using the average of the best six scores, then the following formula is used: (Average score - course rating) x (slope/113). Since we do not have the actual tees played, we assumed the players under the "TEES" column played from their respective tees as listed to determine the proper course rating and slope. An average of course rating and slope from the three Jekyll courses was used since we do not have the specific courses played for each round (they are all pretty close).
Please note that the scores for Dave Davis, Vance Witt and Jim Burleson are assumed since they do not have enough scores in the last three years. We simply entered scores to make the formulas work.
A spreadsheet with what your handicaps will be for your selected tees on each course will be added once I have the slope and course rating and hole handicaps when Jekyll provides them for Great Dunes
